A favourite Composer

From www.52composers.com
Think about music you have learned. Tell us about a composer/music writer who has particularly interested you.
Who is it? When did he/she live? What is it about their music which appealed to you?
Your choice could be someone from long ago, not so long ago, or even living now.

  1. Frederic Chopin, 1810 - 1849.

Composed famous works such as the Nocturnes, Polonaises, Mazurkas, Etudes, Sonatas and Concertos and composed exclusively for the piano.

Words can't be used to describe the genius and perfection of Chopin's works. The only way to fully appreciate his music is to immerse yourself within it.

If you haven't heard of his music then you're missing out. Go on, do yourself a favour and listen to Chopin.

  2. My name is Justine and my teacher is Miss Leah.

My favourite composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart because his music can control peoples emotions and the way people feel. He lived between 1765 and 1791 and was born in Salzburg, Austria. He later lived in Vienna and composed many famous works such as the Magic Flute and the Wedding in Figaro. My favourite of his works is Symphony no.25 in G minor. Mozart married a lady called Constanze and died at the age of 35 from an un-none symptom/s.

  3. Hi Justine,
Mozart has to be one of my absolute favourite composers as well.
I have to agree with you about Mozart's music affecting your emotions. I have had the greatest joy and privilege to visit both Salzburg and Vienna and see where he lived and composed and played. Even that had a big effect on my emotions!
